Multitude Mondays

holy experience

Sometimes there are no words, sometimes you just have to step back for a while. That is what I have been doing. I've withdrawn myself not only from blog-land but from friends and family. I just have not had the energy to put into anything or anyone else.
It sounds a little selfish and I guess it was. But I needed some time for myself.

God and I have been having a lot of conversations lately. I've been so focused on my sister and what was going on in her life that I forgot about all the blessings in my life.

God sent so many blessings our way during Christmas. I have a post started about all the blessings we received. Hopefully I will get it finished soon.

But for now I thought it was very appropriate that I come back to blog-land with a Multitude Monday Post.

48. All the I love yous I get from my kids throughout the day.

49. Communication skills my husband and I have learned over the years.

50. Anonymous family from our church who made my children very happy at Christmas. I had no idea that they were going to get the kids all that they did.

51. My son for always making me laugh, he opened his Nike shoes and said "Mom, these shoes have check marks on them."

52. My son's Principal has been wonderful to our family, she is such a blessing.

53. Warm blanket and gloves my children picked out for me for Christmas.

54. Heating pad.

55. Ice cream in the winter.

56. A husband who will help me to color my hair. (he may have just been trying to save money:)

57. All the "For Dummies" books they make my life easier and I love them.

58. Christian music.

Multitude Mondays 37-47

holy experience

It's Monday and time to count our blessings and share them with others over at Holy Experience.

My symptoms have come raging back, I've had several seizures in the last couple of days and yet I have many blessings to give thanks for.
37-47

#37- My husband who never complains when he has to wait on me hand and foot when I get so sick I can't get out of bed.

#38- Hot relaxing bubble baths

#39- For the Lord's strength when teaching my kids hard lessons that I know they have to learn, but it's so hard not to just take them in my arms and give in.

#40- Indian food

#41- My aunt, who takes care of my children when I can not.

#42- Sunny Delight, I had forgotten just how good it is.

#43- Children who don't see skin color.

#44- Memories of lost loved ones.

#45- Fuzzy socks

#46- Mouse traps

#47- The ability to sit here and type this message, there are many days I can't even do that. I'm so very grateful the days I can.

Multitude Monday 26-36

Yes, I know I said I was trying to keep my layout but then I was looking at layouts for Daveda and I couldn't help myself. And since it's already 3:30 in the morning I thought I would go ahead and post my Multitude Monday post.
holy experience

I have not participated in Multitude Mondays in a long time. Times get hard people get sick, then times get harder and it seems like one thing after another comes falling down around you and you forget to thank HIM. You forget, that they could have gotten much worse had HE not stepped in. You forget to see HIM in the small things because you are more focused on the big picture and all the things you would like to fix but have absolutely no power to and I have forgotten lately to even stop to ask for HIS help because I was too caught up in the fear and worry.

So here I am, I come humbly to you Lord to ask your forgiveness for not seeking you first, for accepting the fear Satan freely handed me, for not seeing all the little miracles you have preformed for us lately.
And to tell you how grateful for the multitude of gifts you have given me even when I may not deserve them, you give them freely, just as a Father does.

26-36

*Being welcomed into my child's school and getting to know every one which makes me feel that much better about letting my child go there and has given me more of a purpose.

*For YOUR protection God on Roo when he fell and hit the corner of a bed and gashed his head open, there was a lot of blood but he only needed two staples.

*Fresh Fall air.

*Pumpkin picking and carving with little hands.

*This big window so that I can look out on our two giant trees and watch the beautiful leaves fall to the ground.

*Sparks in my mothers eyes that tell me she is still in there and knows what is going on.

*For my in laws being able to spend a week with the kids even if it weren't under the best of circumstances.

*Pumpkin and Cinnamon candles.

*My aunt who loves to do laundry but loves being my kids MaMaw even more.

*My best friend who just had a recent scare with breast cancer, she is truly my soul sister and has made the last 14 years of my life so much brighter by being in it.

Multitude Monday 16-26

holy experience

Another week and this time I feel I am having to really think about what I am grateful for, not because there aren't a thousand or more things to praise Him for but just because when Satan see's we are giving God all the Glory he steps in and wants to throw us off balance. I will not allow that to happen this week. I don't know what the future holds for my family or those very close to it but I do know WHO holds the future. So for today I will give Him the praises He deserves for all that He has already done.
16-26

* For God loving Principals who will hold you and pray while you are having a seizure in her office.

* My mother's health.

* One of the most Foxiest creatures God has ever made and the privilege to save her from a kill shelter last week. (will post pics soon)

* My daughter telling me how beautiful I look as soon as she sees me open my make-up bag, even though she doesn't realize I have not put a single thing on my face.

* Being referred to as Roo's mom at school and having all the 8th graders tell me just how cool he is.

* Rain

* A man that shops with me and goes and grabs a wheel chair when I'm getting too tired to keep shopping, so that I can finish my list before the week begins.

*coco Rice crispies

*crunchy peanut butter

* Curly hair

Multitude Mondays 5-15

holy experience

I've been thinking about my list for this week since I did the first one last week when I discovered Holy Experience.

I have been at times dumbfounded of what to thank HIM for because there are so many things and when I think of the small things they just seem too insignificant and then the big things seem too obvious. I guess that is why I have never written them down. But with each one that I write I realize that God has blessed my life with big and small blessings and I want to acknowledge every one of them.

I'm starting slow and praying that God will open my eyes to ALL that I have to be thankful for because there is so much I know that I don't even see. I have a long way to go to get to a thousand, but it's just part of my journey. So here is 5-15, some are big and some are small but I am so very grateful for them all.

5. HE loves me even though HE sees all the cracks in my character and mistakes I have made and keep making.

6. For this blog that has forced me to really look at myself and see not only what I need to change but also and almost more importantly the good parts that I never saw because I was being too critical of myself.

7. My daughter who does everything I do, may I be reminded of that daily and be a good role model for her always.

8. Music, that expresses what I can not at times.

9. No matter what color I choose to dye my hair after a few washes it always turns back to the natural red.
(yes my hair is the natural color in my header picture but I play around with it often, it's a control issue but that's a whole nother post)

10. My sister would turn 35 this month and I have kept her memory alive.
11. Her green work jacket that still hangs at the back of my closet, I swear I can still smell her on it and it brings me unbelievable comfort when I need it.

12. The days I'm able to work at Roo's school, I feel so productive and love seeing him throughout the day.

13. Cookbooks, without them my family would starve.

14. Our king size bed, I love my hubby but also love my space when I'm sleeping.

15. Hearing my little girl saying she has the "pick-ups" when she gets the hiccups.

Multitude Monday 1-5

holy experience

I found this blog today, Holy Experience, and it's great for everyone to do but with what I have experienced the last few months it means even more to me. I have a long way to go to get to a thousand, but it's just part of my journey.

1.
My goofy best friend, father of my children and love of my life.

2.
That I rarely have to use Buddy much anymore.

3.
That my mom lives with us and gets to see her grandchildren on a daily basis.

4.
That my son knows Who to go to even if it is just about how to assemble a necklace.

5.
My Starbucks Frappuccino that I start my day off with, that and a prayer of course. ;)
